A continuously updated list of what we think are great books to try & many are available at the library. Books are organized by the earliest age we thought a child would enjoy them (publisher's suggested ages in parentheses). We've found many kids have enjoyed some books that were suggested for older readers so please experiment. Scroll down for suggested "concept" books & "special issues." Featured Book
The Three Little Woves and the Big Bad Pig by Eugene Trivizas is a comical alternate tale of the classic Three Little Pigs. Some of the humor will be more appreciated by adults (such as the vido-entrance phone) but that's what makes it fun for parents reading to their children. The introduction of other animals such as a rhinoceros toting building supplies is another funny touch that will amuse older kids.
(Suggested for pre-K to age 3 but another recommendation is for ages 5 to 10; ParenthoodNJ thinks kids through age 10 as well as their parents will love this story)
